Admissions Process

We invite eighth graders to apply to Notre Dame. A parent or guardian must complete the application, which can be filled out online or downloaded, printed and mailed to the school.

Prospective students are encouraged to spend the day at Notre Dame as part of our shadow program: Experience Notre Dame Fairfield. Contact the Admissions Office to arrange this visit.
• Eighth grade applicants must take an entrance exam to be considered for admission.
• On the application, an academic release waiver must be signed. A copy of this form will be sent to the applicant's current school, along with a recommendation form. ND requests complete seventh and first marking period eighth grade report cards.
• Some applicants are also invited for an interview as part of the admissions process. ND directly contacts these students.
• Acceptance letters are mailed on December 15 to those accepted students whose application files were complete as of December 1.
• A $1,000 deposit is required to secure a spot in the freshman class and should be returned by the February 1 deadline.

Arts Scholarship Applications
Prospective students are invited to apply for Band, Chorus or Dance scholarships. These $3,000 scholarships are renewable annually as long as the student continues to participate in the program for which the scholarship was awarded (and meets certain academic requirements). Distinguished Scholars Program
Prospective students are invited to apply to the Notre Dame Distinguished Scholars Program. This four year program provides a challenging curriculum in our high honors courses. Applications are due no later than Friday, January 5, 2018. Click here to download an application which contains specifics of the program.
